












ASVAB Testing – Important Information - October 22, 2025
ASVAB Testing Rooms are attached for you to review.
Please arrive on time and report directly to your assigned testing room.
No food or drinks are allowed during testing.
When you arrive, find your seat and await directions from the Test Proctor.
This is a paper exam.
No students may leave early. Testing will conclude once all students have finished.
The career center has been notified you will be testing on this day.
ILHS will operate on a modified schedule after testing ends.
If you signed up to take the PSAT, you will not take the ASVAB.


Here’s what will be happening at Indian Land High School on October 22:
++Freshmen (9th graders) will also have the opportunity to participate in Job Shadow Day this year! Students who are unable to secure a job shadow opportunity should still report to school.
++Sophomores will take the PSAT.
++Juniors will take the ASVAB.
++Seniors traditionally participate in a Job Shadow Day, visiting workplaces or colleges to explore post-secondary options.
Activities will be provided from 9:10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. while testing is taking place along with lunch. After lunches, students will follow an abbreviated class schedule until 4:10 pm. Our FLEX period will be from 3:37 pm - 4:10 pm.

Attention Freshmen!
Indian Land High School will host a Job Shadow Day for all 9th grade students on Wednesday, Oct 22nd while upperclassmen participate in testing.
Students will have three options for participation:
1. E-Learning Job Shadow Day and complete the Job Shadow Day Curriculum and Pre-IGP Workshop video (materials will be provided).
2. Report to School and work independently on the Job Shadow Curriculum in a supervised setting.
3. Complete an in-person job shadow experience at a workplace of their choice.
Please remind your parents to check their email so they can complete the Participation Form by Friday, October 17, 2025, to let us know whether you will participate in the virtual Job Shadow Day (at home) or attend school to complete the activities independently in person. The Job Shadow Form should also be returned to Ms. Walker on Oct 23, 2025.

Senior or Juniors graduating early:
As a reminder, the application is now open in Kaleidoscope for the 2926 cohort of SC Teaching Fellows.
Important update- the final Zoom info session date has been changed. The final info/questions session will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20th @ 7 p.m.
Please share the Zoom link with any student interested in applying. They DO NOT have to be Teacher Cadets to apply. They do have to be SC residents and cannot be a DACA student.

Sunday, November 2nd at Indian Land High School from 11am-6pm.
This is their 10th Annual Sale. The Indian Land Bands have raised $52,550.00 for the band students over the past 9 years with this
fundraiser. We will bring 30+ test mattresses to the school. Our goal is to have your customer lay on them and pick out what is most comfortable to them. We have a friendly staff on site to assist and answer questions.
Mattress pricing starts at $152.10 with coupon and then goes up in $50-$100 increments up to thousands. We have low end, mid-range and high end just like a store, but we pay the band program for everything sold. We order the mattress they pick brand new for them in the size they want and can deliver to their home as well as dispose of their old mattress. Delivery/Disposal is 2-4 weeks from order. Free pick up from our Charlotte warehouse is 2-3 weeks from order. NO MONEY DOWN, 12 MONTHS SAME AS CASH FINANCING WITH APPROVED CREDIT.
Brand names like Purple, Simmons Beautyrest, Tranquility Sleep Systems and Southerland Bedding. Adjustable Power Bases, Box
Springs, Pillows, Protectors and Metal Frames are all available for order with your mattress purchase. We have all sizes, styles, comfort levels and all mattresses have full replacement warranties. Most are for 10 years.
