School Counseling Week Presentation (3)

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be on a two-hour delay.

Lancaster County School District has carefully assessed campus conditions, including main roads, auxiliary roads, parking areas, and walkways. While many surfaces have improved, some shaded areas still have ice—however temperatures are forecasted to remain above freezing tonight.

To allow additional time for our facilities teams to address any concerns and ensure campuses are as safe as possible for students, staff, and families, Lancaster County School District will operate on a two-hour delay.

We ask all families, staff, and students to continue exercising caution while traveling to school and allot enough time to travel safely.  Keep in mind that a two hour delay is two hours after the school day normally starts. Please avoid areas that may present hazards and be prepared for possible redirection around icy spots upon arrival on campus. We also encourage students to wear appropriate footwear and clothing suited for current weather conditions. Reminder, breakfast is not served during a two-hour delay schedule. The 4K field trip will be rescheduled for a later date.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and commitment to student safety as we navigate these conditions together.

As a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
