In recognition of National School Counseling Week we will spotlight one counselor per day.
Monday we spotlighted: Mrs. Marisa King – Mrs. King graduated from Long Island University. She’s been a school counselor for 15 years but a counselor at ILHS for 13yrs. Mrs. King states, she became a school counselor because, “I always knew that I wanted to help people. After I became a teacher I realized I was better suited in the school counselor position. I love being a part of our student’s journey to the next adventure in their lives.”
Her favorite quote is: “Remember why you started, remember where you’re headed, think of how great it will be to get there, and keep going.”
Today we will spotlight: Ms. Tiffany Johnson– Ms. Johnson graduated from Winthrop University and received her Masters from Liberty University. She’s been a school counselor for 1 year and a math teacher for 8 years. Ms. Johnson states “I became a school counselor to help students in a greater capacity beyond the classroom.”
Her favorite quote is: “Find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible.”
